Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
The goal that was set this year in my last season was to win the Mountain East Conference Championship. The goal was reached and exceeded with a trip to the second round of the NCAA Division II Playoffs.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
I am a player that does not worry about stats or accolades at the end of the year; as long as someone makes the play, it doesn’t matter who it is.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
How fast other teams have gotten their field goals off with operation time. If a team is unable to block a 1.5 second operation, they are not going to be blocking kicks from the wings; one less thing I have to worry about. I also look for where the opposition blocks from and what angles they take on hash kicks.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
My ability to remain calm in pressure situations.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
My plan is to quicken my leg speed making contact with the ball, which will require a tremendous amount of band work and elasticity. Stretching will be a critical part of the off season.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I enjoy pressure situations; I am extremely comfortable with being uncomfortable.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
If I were to get a shot at any level past college, it would be my objective to leave the organization better than when I found it. At UC, we had never won a conference championship or made it past the second round, and in my last year of being a Golden Eagle we accomplished what we’ve sought out to do for 5 years. Whichever colors I wear for my next team will be the colors I bleed.
