Taji Lowe: 2020 Pro Prospect Interview

Name: Taji Lowe
School: Maine
Position: LB
Height: 6’2″
Weight: 238

Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

I wanted to lead my team to a conference and national championship. We came up short for both but that was the goal going into the season. Personally I just wanted to improve my play from the year before which I felt like I accomplished.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

They would say I am an intelligent player and have a nose for the ball. That I was the type of player to leave it all on the field. Gave my all no matter the circumstance.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

I look at myself from the previous game to try to understand the mistakes I made and to ensure I don’t make them again. Then I look at our next opponent and focus on the players I’ll be going up against such as the offensive line and running backs to see what they like to do. Also to look at their offense as a whole to understand the teams tendencies.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

I am a person who loves the game and who will bring the right mentality everyday. On our team we talked about having a dog mentality on the field which is a strength of mine, and that is something that can’t be taught either you have it or you don’t.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

I have been training for my pro day to get faster and stronger. Also been improving my technique as a linebacker which I feel will help with professional opportunities. As well as work on things I might not have done a lot while at school.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

Understanding the game and schemes and just having great instincts on the field. Off the field just being a great teammate and person to have apart of your organization.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL or any other pro leagues?

You will be getting a player that will do whatever it takes rather it be defense or special teams. Someone who loves the game and only focus will be on football.
