Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season? 

One of my goals was to continue to produce on the field and help my team to a winning season. Me and my team accomplished that after having a winning record in one of the hardest conference in FCS the CAA. Another goal of mine was to gain more weight and show scouts I can produce at any weight for my position. I gain 10-15 pounds this season and felt like I had a good season being a versatile defensive lineman.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

I’m a very smart football player. Great work ethic. With any opportunity that’s handled to me, I’ll do it to the best of my ability.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

My get-off. The timing of the snap. An offensive lineman stance and hands. How fast the QB get rid of the ball. Learning the formations of opponent offenses.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position? 

My versatility throughout the defensive line. Throughout my college career I played every position on the defensive line and had success with it. Also my football awareness and IQ.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

My off-season plan has been really simple. Train with some of the best trainers in my area. Get my body right to be in the best shape for my pro-day so I can show scouts my abilities.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

Strengths and abilities I can bring to a team is my IQ for the game, my versatility, and my ability to be coachable.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

My name Shaheem. I love this game of football and I will go beyond measure to make myself a better player, teammate, and person.
