The Triangle Torch, a member of the Supreme Indoor Football (SIF), have signed Defensive Back, Sa’Quan Hicks for the upcoming 2017 season.
Sa’Quan Hicks, 5’10” 180lb, enters the SIF as a rookie, for this will be his first season with the Torch and their new league. Hicks played last season for the Central Florida Jaguars, who were a member of the American Indoor Football (AIF). He recorded 2 interceptions against the Florida Tarpons, one of the top teams last year.
“I am very excited to play in the SIF. I look forward to bringing a championship to Raleigh,” said Hicks. The Torch are no doubt one of the best teams entering the SIF after a successful first season last year. Hicks, who runs a 4.38 with a vertical leap of 40 inches, will be a solid asset to the Torch.
Hicks was born and raised in Baltimore, MD, and currently resides in Southern Virginia. Hicks played for the Morgan State Bears and since then, has played five years of indoor football with five different teams, earning his first professional indoor opportunity in 2012 with the Virginia Badgers of the AIF. A 2015 NFL Draft Bible report, Hicks was evaluated saying, €œGreat athlete. Can run routes with receivers. Reroutes and squeezes receiver in the route.€ He plans to show off these skills and lock down receivers in the SIF this season.
