Name: Samuel East
School: Gannon University
Position: WR
Height: 5-11
Weight: 182

Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

Goals that I set for myself going into this season were to produce the most that I can for the team, be healthy, and being that it was my last season to make the least amount of mistakes within my control each play.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

If my coaches were to say anything about my game it’s that I understand the dynamics of an offense and can be very impactful on the game if my hands touch the football. That if the ball is in the air my way it’s guaranteed coming down with me.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

While watching film what I focus on when watching the other team is obviously the coverages they run, but also, how hard players run to the ball. The way this helps me is to see how the defense flows for after I get the ball I have a sense of where they are going to be flowing from or how fast they will get there.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

What separates me from other draft prospects in this class would be my adaptability to any offense and how fast I can incorporate myself into that offense. I feel as if my football IQ allows me to slow the game down. Also, I’m a receiver who can block as well, and has no problem doing so.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

My off-season plans to propel me into my professional career are to add more speed and further defining my route running capability.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I have major plans on becoming active in the community wherever I land. It’s been a dream of mine to play football and be able to be a role model for those to come. As far as on the field, what I will bring to a team is a player who will let his play speak for him. What I will do in practice, meetings, and games will be nothing but beneficial for the team and myself.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

Any team out there in need of a playmaker, in need of a blue-collar type of player. Take a chance on me…I’m hungry!
