What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

The goal that I had set for my final collegiate season was to fulfill any roles that the team needed me to and be the best teammate I could be .Due to Covid and other obstacles preventing me from getting recruited, I ended up at Central Michigan on late notice. I didn’t have much time to prepare myself before the start of the season so my main goal was to come in everyday willing to work and to be the best person /teammate I could be.

Q: How do you think you took advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase your chances of going pro?

I felt I took advantage of the extra year of eligibility because that opportunity gave me the chance to grad transfer up a level from the division I was originally playing in. I wanted to prove to myself that I belong with some of the top athletes and I believe I did a good job at doing so.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

I believe they would say I’m a humble beast! I’m not the loudest player out there but my hard work and actions on and off the field speaks louder than any words will.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

First I focus on the mistakes I make and detail in on the things I need to get better at. It’s not a good look to make the same mistake twice. Next I look at all the major coverages and stunts that the defenses run. It makes the game easier to understand when it comes to running routes and hitting the right land marks as a receiver. The last thing I do is study the opponent that I will be lined up against. Since I play receiver, I pay attention to the DB’s play style, body language, eyes, and their depth in pre snap reads.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

What sets me apart is that I’m not just a wide receiver. I look at my self as an athlete. I could play everywhere on the field. With the mentality I have I’m not afraid to do the dirty work . I played running back all the way until I got to college so some of that mentality, I still carry with me when the ball is in my hands.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

I have a couple of trainers that’s helping me prepare and have the knowledge that I need to know to take me to the next level of competition.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

First off I’m a leader. When I say leader I mean lead by example. Im not someone that wants all the attention but when you do see me, I always make sure I’m doing the right things on and off the field .I’m not easily influenced at all. Im the type of person that a lot of people respect and gravitates around because I’m a genuine person. I genuinely want to see everybody succeed around me and people could tell.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

Any team willing to take the chance will get a real work horse. Nothing has ever came easy and I worked for every opportunity I was ever given . When you describe everything a football player is supposed to be, I’ll fit the description. I am a versatile player .With my ability and mentality I believe I’ll succeed at any position I’m put in. Through all the adversity I’ve been through, I still came out on top. I don’t think anything would change now.
