The ultimate goal was to win a conference championship, which we failed short of but the foundation for a great future was established. A personal goal is daily growth and finding ways to get better everyday. Goal that I set for the season was to elevate my game by becoming a better pass rusher and focusing on causing force fumbles.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

My coaches and teammates would describe me as a hard worker and a person that loves the game of football. My coaches would describe me as a person that is always working on his weakness and doing everything in his power to get better. My coaches and teammates would say that I was the leader of the team and a person that held everyone to a standard.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

When I study film things I focus on is formation, tendencies, and hints that the offense might give away. Then I watch the offensive line, then my personal match up. When watching my personal match up, I study past games to see their strengths and weaknesses while also studying which moves work and which did not work. I watch to see if an offensive lineman has a high or low hand when kick stepping. I also spend a lot of time studying myself to improve my technique and work on my weaknesses.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

What separates me from the other pro prospects at my position is my work ethic and the love for the game. The ability to constantly get better and work on my weaknesses set me apart from others.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

My offseason plan is to stay at UNCP to train. My plan is to continue to train within the strength program and speed training with the track coach. My offseason goal is to gain weight, become faster, and stronger.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

Some strengths and abilities that I can bring to a team that stand out is my mindset and my drive to get better. Also the ability to be coachable, while also versatility of playing every position on the defensive line during my college career.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

My final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues would be, given the opportunity, I will prove that you made the right decision, because there will be nobody that will give more to the organization. There will be nobody that will have more pride in doing anything the organization needs them to do. My love and drive for this game is unmatched, and this game is everything to me.
