Quentin Peeples: 2023 Pro Prospect Interview

Name: Quentin Peeples
School: University of West Florida
Position: DL/OLB
Height: 6-2
Weight: 280

Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

Some goals that I had set for the season were to be the best teammate possible, win a Conference Championship, and another National Championship. I personally feel that I was all in on being a great teammate which helped my position group excel when we needed it the most. Won a Conference Championship and came up just short of another National Championship with a loss in the Division 2 Final 4.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

I’d believe they say that I am hard worker, smart, and intentional with everything that I do. Not a guy of many words but one who is willing to lead by example and does so day in and day out.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

I tend to look at several tendencies of the offense, what they like to do on certain down and distances, what they run out of certain formations. This all gives me insight on what I need to do in order to beat the man in front of me. It also helps me relay the message to my position group, if I know what the offense is doing I’ve always let my guys know pre-snap so that we all can be a step ahead.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

Converting from Linebacker to Defensive End after transferring to West Florida, I feel that I am able to get more of a feel of what the offense is going to do because I am used to seeing more this allows the game to slow down a lot for me. Compared to other prospects I feel that I am more on the elusive side which allows me to slip certain blocks and make certain plays. On the other hand, being “undersized” for this position, you have to have strength to balance that out and having that strength is something I take pride in.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

I’ll be working with Kent Morgan, Kyle Dickinson, and the UWF Strength and Conditioning staff in order to train and prepare for any opportunity that I earn.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

Very passionate about the game of football, I hang my hat on playing every snap full speed until the whistle is blown. I see myself as a safe haven for my guys, if there’s an issue going between my position group I’m usually there to settle things down and make sure everyone gets on the same page. I love being a guy who will try to knock someone’s head off but when the pads come off I’m a gentle giant. I’m always looking to help those who are in need whether I’ve known them for 10 years or 10 seconds. This has allowed me to build and maintain strong relationships. Whoever decides to add me to their team, I’d be the first in line to go and help in the community because I know how important those relationships are.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

I will come in Day 1 ready to work, learn, and grow. I adapt easily to any situation no matter what is is. Any organization that brings me in, I’d be grateful, blessed, and wouldn’t take any day for granted. I’ve worked my entire life to get to this point and feel like this is just the beginning. I would love to come in and contribute in any way that I can. I will work for everything that’s in front of me, I want to be the guy who is known for simply getting the job done in all circumstances.
