Q: What were some of your goals heading into your final collegiate season?
My team goal was to be the best teammate/leader that I could possibly be. Building chemistry and having unity was the most important thing to me. The coaches always harped on us to be a family and the importance of getting to know the guys that you share the field with. My personal goal was to be the Top All-American player in my conference and help lead my team to the National Championship game.
Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?
Very fast, Entertaining, and Elusive.
Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?
I will be focused on increasing my ability to change directions, explosive training, and combine specific drills with my personal trainer in South Florida.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?
I mainly focus on the Cornerback and how discipline he is. Whether he is aggressive or not on run plays. Also, looking for how effective he is while changing directions and playing the deep ball. Then, I also read the Safety and determine how I can manipulate his decision making, seeing how his eye discipline is.
Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?
My speed. The ability to separate from any defender and the way that I read/react to the deep ball.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
The fact that I carry myself with a business like manner off the field and the way I engage with the community. I always envision myself giving back; I just want to help out in the best way that I can. One day possibly running a non-profit organization to help those who have had to struggle such as I did growing up. On the field, I am charismatic and love the game. I produce a high level of energy and always bring excitement with my play style. I love to learn, so I will be laser focused on understanding the playbook, but also translating that knowledge onto the field.
Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?
Not only will I take care of business on the field, but I will also take care of my business off the field. I will be on time to meetings and practices. I have a clean canvas and I am a very coachable athlete. Being that I am a student of game, I enjoy and understand the process. I know that with every difficult thing in life, there comes relief.
