Q: What goals did you accomplish heading into your final collegiate season?
The biggest goal my team and I set at the beginning of the season was to win our conference for a consecutive year and play in the NAIA playoffs, and we were able to do so.
Q: What would your coaches say about the type of player you are?
I think they would say I’m a great teammate and a reliable player, and that my effort is never questioned.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?
When watching film I look for areas I need to correct individually. Then when watching opponents film we study their base coverages and what/if they like to go to during certain situations; down and distance, red zone, etc.
Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?
What I feel separates me is my work ethic, I am always looking to improve every part of my game; I never get complacent. I do everything to best of my ability and I don’t shy away from the physicality of the game, I take a lot of pride in blocking assignments.
Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?
I believe I have an intense workout regimen involving strength training, stretching, and explosive movements. Recently I have been emphasizing on my speed and route running.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
My work ethic and dependability is something I’ve always taken pride in, whether it be in football or outside of football. I was fortunate enough to be chosen to receive a Champions of Character award by my Coaches and Administration and I owe a lot of my personal foundation to my parents and other family members in which several are coaches and have careers in education.
Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?
I never get content with anything and I am always looking for ways to learn, improve, and better myself. Competing to win is very important to me and whatever my given role is I will give my absolute all.
