Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
The goals that I set for my self this year was to become an all conference and also all American player and also to take upon myself to become more of a leader. Also as a team it was to win the national championship also to become one of the top defense of players in the country and also play for the top defense in the country which are one of the goals we accomplished as a team.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
They would say that I am low maintenance and very coachable, not complaining and just playing ball. They would also say that I am very focused and that I lead by example.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?
I focus on splits and route combinations in certain formations. Certain things receivers give away if they were getting the ball, like for example (grabbing their gloves or leaning over in their stance aggressively). I also look at pre snap communication between the QB and receivers. I also look at the receivers releases.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
What separates me is that I am very versatile and can play any position in the backend. I also my IQ separates me from everybody else it doesn’t take me long to grasp different defenses and other positions if I need to play them. I adapt very well to any situation.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
My offseason plan is mostly to get mentally right for the pro level understand the in’s and out’s of the pro level and understanding what it takes to be consistent at the pro level and also learning more knowledge about different offenses. Physically my offseason plan is to work on my technique and making sure it becomes muscle memory so even if I get tired on the field my technique stays the same and consistent.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
The strengths I bring to the field is versatility and this gives the coach more flexibility with the defense. I also bring to the table the ability to cover and also come up and stop the run. I can do a little bit of everything. I also learn very quick. Off the field I am very respectful and also low maintenance and don’t cause any problems for the coaching staff. I’m all about football.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL or any other pro leagues?
My final pitch to pro teams would be with my abilities I would be able to help any team in a positive way. I look at each day as a new day to better myself. No matter what team picks me I will give them my all and for any other team that does not pick me up you will be missing out on a special player.
