Bethany’s Senior Linebacker, Oscar Scott, signed a professional football contract with the Bydgoszcz Archers, a team in Bydgoszcz, Poland. The Kansas City, Missouri native will fly to Poland in early March to begin training camp.

Oscar finished his senior season with 74 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 5.5 tackles for a loss, 1 interception, and 1 fumble recovery. He was awarded All-Conference honors and nominated a team captain and Swede of the Year.

The Gridiron Crew has helped Oscar receive interest to play professionally in a few countries throughout Europe, and was ultimately offered a contract to play for the Polish team. “Playing football professionally has been one of my goals since the first day I put the pads on. For it to come into fruition the way it has means more to me than I can put into words because I have worked so hard for this moment. I can’t thank the Archers enough for this opportunity to continue pursuing my passion,” said Oscar.

The Bydgoszcz Archers are a member of Liga Futbolu Amerykańskiego and will play an eight game schedule from April 4th to June 20th with the addition of the playoffs in July.
