Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
The goals I set this season was to have a grade out higher than 85%, and make first team All-conference and All-American, I accomplished the first two, waiting to find out if I made All-American.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
They’d say I’m a high effort guy who plays the game extremely physically, and that I’m someone who finishes the defender instead of just position blocking.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?
When watching film, I try to notice alignments or defensive stances that can tip a defensive strategy, for example is a safety cheated over or walked down indicating a blitz.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
My physical strength and my ability to dominate defensive lineman in the run game as well as my ability to climb to linebackers and cover them up. In the pass game my lateral movement forces players into my chest, and my strength and leverage allows me to sit on bull rushes.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
I plan to spend this offseason training in Sioux Falls, not only getting better at pro-day drill prep, but also continuing to improve my craft of playing oline.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
My strength on the field is that I don’t get frazzled easily and I think that’s important for olinemen because there is a lot to think about and process, and being able to stay calm and calm your teammates down helps a lot. Off the field I will always have my teammates backs and look out for them.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL or any other pro leagues?
My final pitch to any NFL or Pro team is that I am a big physical olineman who dominates on the run game, holds up in the pass game, and consistently finishes opponents (263 career Knockdowns). I am a student of the game and when you give me an opportunity I will give you my all and fight to earn a spot and be the best player I can be.
