Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

For my senior season I wanted us to be Empire 8 Champions. Although this unfortunately didn’t happen, I was able to accomplish all of my personal goals which were to record over one hundred tackles, be First Team All-Empire 8, and make both the All-Region and All-American teams.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

I think they would describe me as a hard-worker that leads by example. I think my work ethic shows in the way I play and the way I help run a defense. When on the field I understand that for us to be successful as a team, everyone needs to be on the same page and in the right position. I think my teammates respect the way I approach every play on the field.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

I try to focus on tendencies in play calling and players. Being able to expect what plays teams will run in certain situations helps me make decisions quicker on the field. Seeing tendencies in players can help me predict what plays will be run based on how they are acting or moving.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

I think what separates me from other pro prospects at linebacker is using my smaller size and speed to my advantage. Being able to avoid offensive linemen in open space allows me to get to my run fits faster and perform better in coverage.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

I plan on training for combines, mostly focusing on my size and speed. Playing linebacker at my size puts me at a disadvantage so being able to put more muscle weight on and get even faster will help. I want to be able to show scouts that I’m a good enough athlete to play other positions besides linebacker that are more suited to my size.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I think the strength that’ll stand out the most to teams is my work ethic. I’ve had a “chip on my shoulder” type attitude since coming out of high school because I was only contacted by two schools, with one of them only contacting me once. I had to work my way to a starting role at Alfred then had to continue to excel on the field to earn my recognitions. I think teams will see how this has affected my effort and how I strive for perfection in every aspect, whether it’s on or off the field.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL or any other pro leagues?

My final pitch would be to that although I’m from a Division III school and I’m undersized, I believe that my work ethic and dedication to the sport make up for both, which makes me worth the risk.
