Q: What were some of your goals heading into your final collegiate season?
We had just come off a National Championship the previous year, so we wanted to be known as one of the few teams to win back to back National Championships at the NAIA level. I personally wanted to continue to grow as a leader and passer.
Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?
Leader, Prepared, and Decisive.
Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?
Develop and grow athletically, continue to quicken my release, and work on footwork, specifically under center drops.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?
Look at matchups, like to see how we can get our best guys in the position to make plays. I like to also look at tendencies and personnel, knowing what a defense hangs its hat on in every situation especially crucial ones.
Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?
I process the game very quickly post snap and have always been able to go through progression quickly. I also have a naturally strong arm and am very good at anticipating.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
Leadership, Confidence, and Determination.
Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?
I have done everything there is to do at the NAIA level of college football. We were able to win back to back National Championships (2016 & 2017) and I was able to earn NAIA National Player of the Year this season. I have thrown for 12,500 yards and over 130 TDs in my career and have played for College Football’s most active winning coach in Kevin Donley. I developed into a great player in college, as I was a late bloomer, and passed up at the DI level. However, I used that to motivate me to become a great player and still use it to this day.
