Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

My main goal of the season was to help my team win its first conference championship since 2011. We finished 8-2 and accomplished our goal, and I was fortunate enough to earn 1st Team All-Conference honors for the second season in a row.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

My coaches and teammates would say that I’m an extremely hard worker, dedicated, passionate, and a playmaker. For my senior season I was voted as team captain by my teammates.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

When I study film, first I like to look at all of the different route combinations that the opposing team runs. After that, I study the habits of their wide receivers, running backs, and quarterback so that I can get a jump on what play they might run before the ball is snapped. Another important thing that I pay attention to is the alignments of the wide receivers because it can give a little hint on what kind of route they could run.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

A few things that separate me from other pro prospects are my speed, tenacity, and unmatched work ethic. I’ve always played with an underdog mentality and because of that I’ve never backed down from a challenge.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

My strength coach at Trinity, a 3-time NFL strength coach of the year, designed a strength and conditioning program for me to follow. I will also continue to train regularly with my speed/position trainers, Delfonte Diamond and Rischad Whitfield, to keep developing my footwork and quickness. I’ve been training with some current NFL players, which will better my game by going against the best of the best.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I’m a leader by example, and I am very vocal on the back end of the defense. I help call out coverages and possible route combinations for my fellow DB’s. I’ve always been a student of the game, and I consistently look for ways to improve myself. I’m relentless, and I push myself and teammates to be our best on all levels.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL or any other pro leagues?

Playing professional football has been a dream of mine since I was 8 years old. This game is in my blood and I have no intentions of stopping any time soon. Any teams that are looking for a player who is passionate, determined, can overcome all kinds of adversity, and is willing to do anything to help the team win, look no further.
