Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?
Jordan: If I could describe my style of play in 3 words they would be versatile, game changer, and explosive.
Q: How are you going to train/prepare this offseason in preparation for the draft or other pro opportunities?
Jordan: I plan to train and prepare myself by focusing on becoming faster, training my hands, being more explosive, working on my route running, becoming stronger, and lastly preparing the mental part of the game which is watching film. You can never have too much knowledge for the game. I will be training at The Duke Academy in Kenner, Louisiana along with Duke Rousse and former Texans NFL player Alford Blue and Ezra Landry from the CFL who holds the record for longest return.
Q: If you could compare yourself to one current or former NFL player who would it be and why?
Jordan: I would compare myself to Tavon Austin because of his versatility and being able to play at any position, and being able to change the momentum of the game at any point. Special teams is a big part of the game and his explosiveness and quickness is what helps him dominate that part of the game. And that’s where we are alike at.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?
Jordan: First, I identify the down and distance then, I look for what defense there are in and what’s the situation, if they do a lot of blitzing or stunting. After I have identified that, then I look at the Dline and linebackers tendencies, what are they great at and what they are weak at. Once I have completed that, I then watch the safeties and see do they come and fit or do they slow play the play, check out there angles, are the good open field tacklers or do they play on there heels to see how can I set my moves up once I get to that level. Once I have done those things, I pre play our plays against their defense while watching it on film.
Q: What separates you from other players at your position?
Jordan: My work ethic, my knowledge of the game, my ability to be versatile. Paying attention to detail and also being coachable.
Q: What kind of abilities would you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
Jordan: I will bring relentless effort and hard work, and doing what it takes to become better as a unit. Positively making others around me uplifted while grinding hard and doing our job. As far as off the field, I plan to help within the community and find ways to get the fans involved with the team and helping them to believe in the team.
Q: What is your final pitch/sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?
Jordan: My final pitch would be that I am going to become a leader to others, a great outstanding athlete/teammate, that will become a great asset to your organization. I have love and passion for the game that can bring huge change to the community as well. I have been playing this game since I was 6 years old and throughout my life I have told no, but I never allowed the negativity to come in between me and my goals. It never stopped me then and it will not stop me now. It’s bigger than football, this game has change my life in tremendous ways, and as long as I am breathing I will continue to inspire others. Letting them know that they can do anything they put their mind to despite what anyone says and do. As long as you have faith and trust in God your vision will always be clear to you!
