Q: What were some of your goals heading into your final collegiate season?
Some of my goals heading into my final season were to change the program around and have a winning season, dominate every game I would play in, stay injury free, win a championship, help my teammates off the field mentally, physically, and just improve their lives so they feel comfortable balancing life and football.
Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?
Very Aggressive, High motor, Intelligent and able to outwork whoever lineups in front of me.
Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?
I’m training full force and nonstop every single day on speed, conditioning, explosiveness, power, and anything and everything that will help me improve and increase my opportunity at the next level to be the best possible player I can be.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?
I look for the weaknesses of who I’m going up against so that I can exploit them and do whatever I can to help my team. I also look at the technique of everyone I’m going up against. Are they too aggressive? Are they soft? What makes them a really good player? Things of that nature.
Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?
I always aim to be the hardest worker in the room so my mindset is, you won’t outwork me. Doesn’t matter what position I’m playing, I’m going to be aggressive and try to win every battle, every down and every play.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I’m always working on and improving any and everything I can to get that win for my team because I like to lead by example. I don’t talk much, but when I do, I’m real genuine so all my teammates I’ve ever played with can’t say anything bad about me. I’m really strong and use that to my advantage because a lot of guys are weight room strong and not football field strong, but I’m both and use that to my advantage. I’m quicker than a lot of people think, so I use that to my advantage as well when I’m slanting and getting in certain gaps.
Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?
Football is my life and I’m willing to do any and everything it takes to play professional football. I owe it to my family because not only have I sacrificed everything for this game, but my mom and little brother have done the same for me. Quarterback, Running Back, Linebacker, Defensive Back, it doesn’t matter. I’m going to fight and compete for whoever gives me the opportunity to help a team succeed.
