Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
For my final collegiate season, the goals I set as a new receiver in the NEC Division 1 Conference coming from Northeast-10 Division 2 Conference were to make my presence known, identify myself as one of the top receivers in my conference, and put in the work to prove it! I strived to take over the conference in receptions and yards – but in the end, I was very satisfied with performing 2nd in receptions and 3rd in receiving yards. A true testament that it doesn’t matter the number behind the Division – your work ethic will take you to the next level. I accomplished my personal career high in a single season: 73 rec, 760 yards, 9 TD. I set myself to a higher standard this year, especially knowing that I was the only Redshirt Senior Receiver on my team. I thank my Quarterbacks, Christian Carter and Cameron Hayes. At the end of the day, without them I wouldn’t have had the year I had or recognition. For that I’m grateful!
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
From what I hear around meetings and practice, my coaches feel I am a Versatile player, Playmaker and Executer. When adversity hits and times get hard or we need a big play, I am the person they look to. My teammates, my bros nominated me to be their Captain. I am a leader, a person that doesn’t let anything stop his game and grit to Win. I love the game of football, and I’m looking forward to playing at the next level.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?
Technique. FootWork. I look at the little things and critique those before looking at the bigger picture. I also study coverage. I like to know my matchups, study their game, and focus on their strengths and weaknesses. Studying Film allows me to bring my game to the next level.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
My agility, the way I locate the ball at the last second, and my late hand reaction, which I have been told is insane. I’m a clutch player. I pride myself on my discipline, my patience, body control, hand coordination, and ability to convert on downs percentages. My personal game clock and performance doesn’t stop until the game is over. My work ethic and passion for winning separates me from other players. I’m blessed, humble, coachable and will show up to work during every meeting, every practice and every GAMEDAY.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
“Bigger, Stronger, Faster” – to prepare for the next level it’s time to separate myself for all distractions, for this will be the biggest interview of my life! I will invest my time in an elite training facility to work on my speed, agility, my bench, my 40, my vert, etc. I need to max out my speed and strength so I can compete at the pro level.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
My most important strength is my commitment and mindset. I’m disciplined. I am a leader in every aspect of my life. I hone my leadership skills as captain of my football team and mentor of younger players, youth students, and the special needs community. I am selfless – I understand the needs of my team, my coaches, our fans and our community.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL or any other pro leagues?
You’re going to get a mature guy who doesn’t give up, is an executor, puts his team first, and is a playmaker. A person that does his job, does it well, and goes home happy. I am a hard worker, committed to all the little things, and extremely coachable. I am a humble player blessed to have an opportunity to produce my talent to the world one day!
