Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
I came into the year wanting to help my team have a better overall record than years prior and we did that by having the best record in school history. Also, a personal goal for myself I wanted to lead my team in receiving and I was able to accomplish that.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
They would say I am a hard-worker and that I have an underdog mentality. My coaches would also say I’m someone they can count on.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
I look at the defender I’m going against and what is a good release to use against them. Also I study the whole defense to determine what coverages they run in certain situations. Lastly I look at my route running a lot to see how I look coming in and out of certain brakes.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
I’m going to outwork my competitors, since I’m coming from a small school I have to do more to get a look for the pro scouts.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
I’m currently looking for a trainer to help train me for my pro day I’ve talked to a few already they’ve given me good insight about their program and how it’s going to work for the next 8 weeks. I’m always staying in shape fine tuning my routes, so when I get that call I won’t have to get ready I’ll already be ready.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I’m a bigger body receiver with a nice gram, but can move with all the speed guys as well, every 50/50 ball is mine, I can line up outside the numbers or in the slot whatever a team needs, and I have great football IQ. I am a natural leader that’s going to show up on time and not be an outside distraction.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
Any team that gets me is getting someone who truly loves the game, someone who’s going to outwork the competition and challenge teammates. Lastly, they will be getting a player that’s going to take full advantage of every opportunity handed to them.
