Logan Burke: 2024 Pro Prospect Interview

Name: Logan Burke
School: OUAZ/Abilene Christian
Position: Punter
Height: 6-0
Weight: 210

Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

I played my final season at OUAZ and was able to become an All-American while maintaining one of the best Net Punt averages in all of college football. I was also able to attend the FCS Bowl and Tropical Bowl, as well as preforming at the Kohls Pro Kicking Combine and Zauners Senior Combine as a top performer.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

Hard worker. Although my position isn’t as straining compared to skill positions. I’m usually the first and last person out of the facility and it shows both on the field and in the weight room.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

When looking over film I’m focusing on my mechanics and trying to be as efficient as possible when it comes to my drop table and steps.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

Consistency and mental fortitude when preforming in high stress situations. Also my ability to hit 5.2+ hang times while still hitting the ball 50+ yards.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

I’m currently working at a material distribution plant, but after work I train at APEC (DFW) on my explosiveness and flexibility. When it comes to punting I’m currently focusing on my drop table and working on my op time. Trying to average around a 1.35 consistently.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

One of my strengths is my personality and my outlook of the game. Too many specalists over think and get into their own heads. If I mishit a punt I always bounce back. Also my ability to consistently hit high hang times between 4.7-5.0. One of the many reasons my Net Average has always been very close to my Punt Average.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

My work ethic speaks for itself. Whether it’s training, lifting, or film study I give it 100% and am just looking for a opportunity to compete and put my team in a position to win games and ultimately go to a Super Bowl.
