Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

A huge goal was maintaining fundamentals and knowing when to use the right footwork for certain defenses and plays. Another goal I had down was climbing and attaching to the secondary level. I did decently better with my fundamentals and knowing what to accomplish on plays against defenses. For my second goal, I did way better on taking better angles on the second level and closing the space as fast as possible. Overall I managed to accomplish all my goals.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

Coaches and players will definitely call me selfish. I would do whatever it takes to win a block and if it means playing dirty then I will. Sometimes it benefits the team but at the same time it hurts the team. If anything I see it as being determined to changing the MSSU program around. They also would include honesty because no one can be better if they are not honest to themselves.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

Watching film I focus more on what our offensives game plan is trying to accomplish going into that week. If you have no idea why your running those plays and goals of your offense all the film you watched for hours doesn’t matter. Then I pay attention to what kind formation they love to run, which gradually falls under what are the best ways I can set up combos for the run and where to take the slide protection. I break down the the DLinemans and Linebackers tendencies and alignments, that way I feel confident of what to expect. I find ways that will benefit our offensive linemen room so we could let the other rooms look good.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

Retention to detail, knowing what coaches expectation is and holding it to a certain standard. If they teach it once I would definitely use it during game time. Communication, I know for a fact nothing can be accomplished if we all are not on the same levels.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

I plan to train wherever and anywhere that would make me perform the best. Financial budget is definitely a burden but by all means if I have to do it at home then I will. I focus more on stability, durability, explosiveness, agility and mainly recovery.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

A huge fact that I’m confident about my strengths is IQ of the game of football. Understanding and accomplishing what is needed for the offense. Just being a student of the game and being a sponge! I play both center and guard so I can be anything they need me to be. I can’t promise nothing off the field but I can promise that I will be there on time to everything we do.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

Pitch? What pitch! You don’t need a pitch just give me the chance and I’ll show you what I’m all about. Actions speak louder than words and a chance is all I need.
