My ultimate goal was to help lead my team to another conference championship and to a national championship. A personal goal of mine was to allow no sacks.
Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?
Consistent, Technically-Sound, Smart.
Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?
I am currently training with Perry Jones Sports Performance in Richmond, VA, working on many things such as strength, speed, endurance, flexibility, etc.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?
I study and look at tendencies that the Defensive Lineman and Linebackers have. I always point out their strengths and weaknesses and usually write them down and study it. I also look at what type of defense they are running. I study and focus on what stunts and blitzes they like to run as well.
Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?
I am very consistent and counted on. Giving up a sack or tackle or even just losing a pass pro rep is a no go for me. I play every down like it’s my last, and strive for perfection, although nobody is perfect.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
On the field, I will bring a hardworking, determined, smart, and skillful presence. I will lead by example. Off the field, I will also lead by example and bring a brotherly and positive attitude towards my teammates, coaches, and others.
Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?
I am a humble, coachable, competitive, respectful, and skillful player that will bring my all to any team I play for. I leave my heart out on the field and play every down as it is my last and I refuse to be beat. Loyalty and teamwork is my speciality and I take those two to heart.
