Kyle Nunez: 2023 Pro Prospect Interview

Name: Kyle Nunez
School: Stony Brook University
Position: C/OG
Height: 6-3
Weight: 348

Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

Be the best leader for my teammates through the good, the bad and the ugly. Make sure I was available every game possible and continue my streak of consecutive games played.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

Unselfish, reliable, hard working, passionate and tough as nails. As consistent as they come. High football IQ.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

Making sure to breakdown defensive tendencies, being able to acknowledge what the defense is doing before they do it. Whether it’s individual tendencies of a D-Linemen or an overall trend of Defensive scheme.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

Versatility to play all 3 interior positions. I believe i am one of the best run blockers in the draft. I enjoy moving people against their will and finishing with a nasty intent.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

I will be training at Revolution Athletics on Long island for pre-draft training and changing my body to be ready for the next level. Speed and agility will be my main focus.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I separate myself from the rest by being the best teammate possible. Doing the unselfish work has always been what i’m about. Whether it’s paying my dues as a rookie or being the role model for the younger guys, i have always bought into the process. They will be getting a guy that is willing to get knocked down 9 times and get up 10.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

All i ever needed was an opportunity to showcase my talents. You will not only get a player that is willing to do whatever it takes to contribute to the teams overall success but if or when i’m brought into an organization, I plan to leave it better than i found it. You are getting a player that has not missed a football game 96 straight games (HS and College) and is willing to do whatever it takes to put his family’s name in the history books.
