Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

As a team, I wanted to win a playoff game and be in the conversation for Top 25, as they would’ve both been a great reflection of our work in the offseason. Individually, I set goals to be over 75% on field goals and 90% on PATs. I was 60% on field goals and 91% on PATs. I also wanted to improve my kickoffs, and I am happy to say I had my best average yet this season at 56.4 yards per kickoff.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

I think my coaches would say that I’m a guy who just goes to work and loves what I do. There wasn’t a day where I did not want to be at practice, workouts or a game because I understood that college football doesn’t last forever. I think my teammates would say that I am enjoyable to be around, and will have their back for anything. Both my coaches and teammates had full faith in me every time I went on the field, which helped my confidence tremendously.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

When I study film, I mainly look at returners for kickoff and how fast the rush is or what kind of concepts the defense has on PAT/Field Goal. If we know we will be facing a good kickoff returner, I would make sure I was extra particular about where exactly I placed the ball, ideally between the numbers. While every kick should be consistent on PAT/Field Goal, the film helped me to understand how important it was to keep my rhythm in my approach.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

While it may seem cliche, what separates me is that I understand the game, and truly love it. I know the ups and downs of being a kicker, and I know that being in field goal range on fourth down does not always mean I will be kicking, especially with an extremely efficient offense such as The Mount. I have also been improving every year, and I do not think I have reached my ceiling yet.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

I plan on continuing my training as if it were a normal offseason. This means lifting and kicking throughout the week. I plan on continuing to improve my flexibility, as this is the key factor for being a great kicker.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I am level-headed and have a next-play mentality, meaning if I miss a kick, I will learn from it and move on. The only games I missed more than two kicks were due to inclement weather, and I have pride in the fact that I have a short-term memory when it comes to missing kicks. I also take pride in having a positive energy and being a leader by example, whether it be on the field or in lifting/meetings.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

I love the game of football, and I’m able to say I have improved every single year since 8th grade. I have competed and won in competitions with Division 1 kickers, including a Lou Groza finalist and multiple five-star kickers who are on full scholarships at Power Five schools. I know that to be the best, you must train and compete with the best, and I believe I can compete with anyone if I have the chance.
