Q: What were some of your goals heading into your final collegiate season?

Being in the best shape possible, be a great leader, win the conference championship, win a national championship.

Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?

Elusive, crafty, fast.

Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?

By being in great shape and getting stronger in all areas and fine tuning my foot work and 40.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?

For offense, I look at how the Safeties play, pre snap if they roll into 1 high or 2 high, looking how close they play if they are man or zone, so I’ll know how to run my route before the play start. For special teams: punt return, I see if they are in an NFL style formation or shield, watch if Punter is left footed or right footed, and judge how far he punts. If they are backed up in their own territory, I see how quickly he gets the ball off. If they are in plus territory, where is he trying to kick to. Left pylon or right pylon to try to pin inside the 10. I also look for which guys hustle off the ball and cover down field and which ones are lackadaisical. I know which side to attack if there isn’t a certain call for a return. Kickoff return: I look for how which guys cover down the fastest and which ones don’t, I also compare how they run from the beginning of the game or the beginning of the half, some do not go as hard come halftime and usually give kick off returns at the beginning of the half.

Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?

My knowledge of the game and understanding situations throughout the game.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

Good judgment, fearlessness, fierce competitiveness, and I come to get better attitude and effort each and every day. Leadership, and willing to learn in meetings and film sessions, coachable, the desire to make a play every time I touch the ball, and understanding that whatever name is on my chest is bigger than me, the team comes before everything.

Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

Having a small window to be able to play in the NFL, the excitement, the readiness to play, the eagerness to be great, the willingness to be apart of something special that many people don’t have a chance to be apart of. It’s far greater than I could ever imagine and something I wouldn’t take for granted. I could bring that spark and also spark others around me by being a great teammate and player who makes plays for the team to help bring a championship home. That’s the ultimate goal.
