What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
I set goals to have an all conference season, make a run for a conference and national championship. Sadly I got hurt during the season so I fell short of an all conference season. I know If I could have played the entire year I would have been all conference. We were one game short of the playoffs and a conference championship but it was a great year.
Q: How do you think you took advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase your chances of going pro?
I didn’t play a lot my first few years and this year gave me a chance to get some film and to show I could make an impact.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
Smart, focused, relentless. I wont give up on a play and I never get down even if we’re down by multiple scores. I try to keep everyone focused and keep everyone spirits up. I’ll do everything coach ask me to do and go above and beyond to succeed each play.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
I look at what the guy I’m going against struggles with the most. Does he struggle with bull rush, or speed. Does he struggle with guys who are long or does he struggle with stunts. Things like that so I know what to focus on during the week so I can be successful on game day.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
I can play all along the line, Ive played in so many systems I know I can adapt to any coaches system. Also I know my length helps me stand out also.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
I got invited to go to the Dream Bowl this weekend so I’m grateful for that. Then I’ll be training back in my hometown with some of my friends. It’s better to workout with people who are all training for the same goals.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I will bring a blue collar work ethic, I will bring versatility and discipline. I will be a guy that will be at the facility early and stay late.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
If I get the opportunity to further my career, I will give it my all. Doesn’t matter if its only special teams I will give 100% in everything. I don’t care what league it is I just want to keep playing football and showcase my talents.
