Name: Keenan Reid
School: Rutgers University (2020-2022) Lincoln University (2017-2019)
Position: CB/Nickel
Height: 5-10

Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
The goals I set were to simply be the best leader I can be for the team this year. As a guy with plenty of experience, I wanted not only the players but the coaches to be able to call on me and handle business.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
My coaches and teammates would both describe me as a leader that is going to compete and push others. I would also be described as a guy that you know would do what he is supposed to do on and off the field.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
When studying film I focus on how my technique is (or would be) played on each rep. Taking what I am being coached and translating it to the field. I also look for situational tendencies from opposing receivers, tackles, quarterbacks, and even the coordinator.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
My ability to compete. I will always be the hardest worker in the room and will carry that same energy over to the meeting room. I like to have good relationships with coaches so I continue to learn more about the game and constantly find ways to get better. The game is just as important mentally as it is physically.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
My off-season plan is continue to keep grinding the way I have been and to make sure I’m in great condition to enter camp. I train with Test Football Academy located in New Jersey. They have some of the best coaches in the world and make sure we have everything we need to be prepared for whatever comes our way.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
Some of my strengths on the field is how much I love playing special teams as much as I love playing defense. At my previous school, (Lincoln University) I led the school in All-Time blocked kicks. I also can serve as a core special teams guy with my size and speed. Off the field, I love giving back to the community. I have done a lot of giving back to the community as well as speaking at public events. These are all things I am blessed to do for not only my community, but others as well.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
A team should take a chance on me because I simply refuse to lose. I will compete with anyone and not only make myself but others around me better. I have always earned my respect from the work I put in. Despite everything, I have always bet on myself and the God given abilities I was blessed with. At my Pro Day, I performed well in several categories. Running a 4.37-4.41 40, having a 40 Inch Vertical Jump, and a 10’9 Broad Jump, I was able to display the explosive athlete I am. I also did well in my positional drills to show how smooth I am in my transitions. I’m never going to stop finding ways to get better, I’m hungry for an opportunity. I believe I deserve a shot and will do anything a team calls me to do.
