Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

My personal goal was to finish my college career with a great year and to get all-conference, which I did, after having so many great years before at Angelo State with on-field success. The team goal was to take that next step after winning the conference the year before but we came up short on that goal but still had a great year.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

They would say I am a consistent, accountable, smart, and savvy player. I pride myself on being consistent in trusting my technique to take over no matter what any receiver does. I knew the defense like the back of my hand so I could help anyone, especially at my position, with what they needed to know.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

When I watch film my focus is on receiver splits, releases, formations, and their overall movement. Splits of a receiver help with leverage and what routes to expect. Releases of receivers help with what routes to expect as well but also all receivers are different some want to contact the line while others do not. Formations are a great sign of what to expect from team to team because they like to do certain types of plays from deep shots in some formations and quick games in others. It varies week to week depending on a team’s tendencies.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

I think what separates me is my knowledge of my position and my versatility. Besides playing corner I have played nickel back and strong safety at Angelo State. Covering slots and outside receivers has helped my development while in college. I look for little things to give me an edge like a tackle stance for a run or pass. Even look for quarterback keys for what they like to do in certain situations depending on down and distance and their go-to guys in those situations.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

I am still figuring out what is best for me to train and get ready.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I can bring accountability and consistency I know who I am as a player and I play to those standards. I am going to be a game-changer that will help the team win a lot of games. Off the field, I stay to myself and I am just someone you would not have to worry about any trouble coming from.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

My pitch is if you get me in the building, I know what I can bring to your organization and you’ll see a hard-working person that only wants to get better and make the biggest difference I can to get a lot of wins.
