Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
My 2 years being at NWMSU, I wanted to reach a thousand yards. Also wanted to become First Team All Conference in any of my position. I did accomplish my goals with 1003 rec. yards and First Team PR.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
My coaches and teammates would say I’m a player that can be count on in big time games. They will also say I can lead by example and bring the best out my teammates. There is no moment too big for me. I make sure my technique is very consistent in practices, so when game time comes it’s prepared for every moment.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
When I study film, first I look at the team’s 3 of top coverage they play. Whether it’s more of a man or zone team. Next, I find my matchups with the defensive backs. I like to find their bad tendencies, whether it’s bad eyes, bad hips or can’t run very well. Also I try find who’s the most physical out the group and who’s the one we should go at. My technique means everything to me, so I like to prepare myself to the fullest extent to be ready for every moment I step foot on the field.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
What separates me from other prospects is my speed. You can’t teach speed. You can teach technique but not speed. Also I’m a prospect that plays 2 other positions which is Punt Returner & Kick Returner. Also my football IQ as a wideout, I understand how to run a certain route depending on what coverage it is whether it’s man or zone. Also, I rely on my separation not just my speed. I can get in and out breaks explosively to create that separation between me and a defender.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
I will be training with both my dad and trainer back in California. Getting ready for any opportunity that comes my way, I only need one I promise you that. Also still looking for any workout facilities.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
My football IQ as a wide receiver is one of my greatest strengths and bringing the energy to the group to bring out the best in my teammates. I like to go in every game prepared mentality and physically to be ready for any moment I’m on the field. Also, bringing the best out of your teammates just makes you want to work harder to be great. It makes you want to be different from everyone else and that’s what I bring to table and out my teammates. I like to lead by example.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
This has been my dream since I was 5 years old and now I’m here. I don’t come from a lot but I know how to work for mines. Everyday you will get the best version of me, 1000%. All I known growing up is do everything a 100% and that’s what you’ll get. Everything I’ve done has prepared me for this moment to compete at the highest level with the best of the best. I’m ready for any opportunity that comes my way.
