Name: Kasey Allison
School: Dixie State
Position: WR
Height: 6’3″
Weight: 200
Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
Overall my senior year didn’t go as I expected due to a new coaching staff, and having three different QBs on the year. Also not being able to play my senior game due to an ankle injury. Overall there was still some good in my final season, as I went 4 straight games with recording a touchdown, and I also had two 100 yard games in that span.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
My teammates would say that I’m a relentless competitor in all expects of practice, and including the weight room. My coaches would say I’m a hard worker as I like to lead more by example.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?
When I study film the first thing I like to do is to study what coverages the defenses run on certain down and distances. That gives me a better understanding on how I can attack my matchup. Furthermore, in watching my matchup I like to study certain tendencies that the DB shows on film. Whether that’s opening his hips fast, or is patient at the line. In the end having a plan against all this is major, which is why I take so much time in studying my matchups and the defense as a whole.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
I believe that what separates me from other prospects is even though I come from a smaller school I still have that competitive nature to want to be the best. I’ve dealt with 6 different starting QBs in my 3 years at Dixie. I know I have the talent to be even better. If I can get an opportunity to get invited to a mini camp, I know I will excel, and show scouts and coaches why I deserve to play on the top level. As a receiver I believe I’m a complete and can compete against any DB.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
My offseason plan is to train in Las Vegas. I will be working with Game Changers at their facility. My pro day training starts January 13th until my Pro Day. I will be working out 6 days a week with a group of other prospects training for their pro day as well. Also I plan to train with Game changers after my pro day as well until I’m picked up on a team.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
My strengths that I will bring to a team is my playmaking ability, hardworking mentality, and the willingness to be coached.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL or any other pro leagues?
My final pitch to the NFL or any other professional teams is that you will always get 110% out of me. I love this game and I’m prepared to do whatever it takes to make it the next level. My pro day numbers will be great, and I’m ready to show all the coaches and scouts that I belong on the highest level.
