Q: What were some of your goals heading into your final collegiate season?
One of my goals was to break 1000 yards rushing before the end of the season, but that didn’t happen due to the coaches and trainers looking out for my well-being to keep me rested for the next week’s battle.
Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?
Explosive, Elusive, Powerful.
Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?
As of right now, I’ve been running every day or doing some type of cardio. The game of waiting to hear from teams is intense, so I constantly workout, of course to stay in shape, but also to stay busy! I know God has a plan for me, I am patiently ready to show what He has blessed me to do.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?
Usually I focus on my vision to see if I took the best hole or to see if the I made my block efficient to the play.
Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?
God made every athlete different and what He made me with was my speed. Protect the rock as if I was running with my sons in my arm, it’s precious to me. My passion for this game is unbelievable and I believe I have something special for any team that gives me a chance in their backfield.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I believe whoever gives me the chance to show what I can do will not be disappointed. I don’t like talking about myself, but I know God made me special. I refuse to let my team and coaches down on the field as of course off the field too. Before the clock runs out, know that I will have given every drop of sweat into every game. As for off the field, Im setting examples for how my sons should carry themselves as boys to men one day. I breathe for them and will never let them or my wife down.
Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?
All I need is for one team to believe in my abilities and what I can bring to their field. After that, I guarantee you that it’ll be a done deal from there! I’ve been blessed with a gift to share from my Heavenly Father and I’m ready to unwrap my talents on any field.
