What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
My goals were to do whatever to help my team come away with a winning season , which we accomplished. And To be able to be a leader through my actions for the younger players.
Q: How do you think you took advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase your chances of going pro?
I was able to show that I’m a complete running back by being able to run outside and between the tackles, pass protection, catching passes, and my ball security.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
My coaches and teammates would say that I’m an unselfish player and willing to do whatever it takes to help the team out.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
When watching film on opposing teams I look to see if the defensive line plays with a lot of movement as a unit, how the linebackers are trying to get off blocks, how the safeties are filling into the run game, their top coverages and pressures. When watching film on myself I look for ways I can improve in setting up my blocks, how I can improve in pass protection, and ways I can make myself available in the pass game.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
What separates me from other pro prospects at my position is I use my size to my advantage. I am able to be patient and set up my blocks then be explosive out of my cut. I believe at my size my combination of speed and strength makes me hard to tackle. Also I’ve shown that I can do whatever is asked of me at the running back position and on the special teams part of the game.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
Make sure I’m keeping myself healthy and improving my speed , strength , and on the field ability.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
On the field I’ll be able to show that I’m a great teammate and a coachable player. Off the field family is very important to me as well as trying to be a leader to the younger generation through my actions and not just my words.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
I’m a versatile player who is willing to help the team whether it be on offense or special teams. I work hard and feel like I could be a great addition to any team that gives me the opportunity.
