Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
The accomplishment or goal that I am most proud of this season is that I was better than last season. I played my best football to close out my college career leading the team in INTs and Solo Tackles this past season.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
My teammates and coaches would describe me as a hardworking, student of the game type of player. I love the game of football for what it is and I love to craft to become a better player.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
After this season as a DB I need to get better at playing man coverage in the slot. As a LB, I need to blitz better. All will come with reps.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
What separates me from other pro prospects is that I am student of the game. I love the process it takes to win, the art of film studying and schemes/game plans.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
My plans this offseason is to get faster and stronger. Also work on what I felt were my weaknesses from this past season.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I believe that it is the work I do in the film room that really helps me make plays when it’s time to make them. I am a lead by example type of player on the field. Off the field you can bet that I am doing whatever it takes to help the team win.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
To any NFL or other pro scouts that will see this, I’m just a kid from Hawai’i who took the JUCO route in California and played Division 1 Football in New York. I’ve come this far and I’m excited for whatever opportunity is next. Whether it is Special Teams or Defense, any opportunity given, you will not regret. Glory to God.
