Name: Josh Stoltenberg

Height: 6’1″

Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
The team goal that I set for this year was to make it to a post season game of any kind, and we did achieve that by making it to and winning the Mineral Water Bowl. My personal goals were to be recognized with first or second team All-Conference and All-American honors. I was voted 2nd team All-Conference, 2nd Team Don Hansen All Super Region Three Team, and Don Hansen HM All-American.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
I think my coaches and teammates would say that I am a tough/blue-collar player who shows up to work every day and would do anything for his team. Someone who they trust in getting his job done every play and will put his body on the line to get that job done.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?
My focus when studying film is to concentrate on my hands, feet, and pad level because those are the tools that create the most successful lineman. When I grade myself, I look at how fast I get my first two steps in the ground, are my hands and feet in the right position, and is my body in the proper position to drive someone off the ball. In pass protection I’m looking at posture, not giving up my chest, and throwing my punch at the right time and in the right place.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
I’ve always been the smaller player, and always had to fight through some sort of adversity. I know what it takes to be comfortable with being uncomfortable and getting the job done.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
As of now, I am training to get my body healthy. I am training on my own, but with the consultation of a personal trainer, Dan Barton, in Omaha, NE. I have taken a full-time position as an Engineer in Seattle, WA, and will be conditioning before work and training after.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I would be the type of player who is there to get better by battling and making his teammates better. Like I said before I am a blue-collar player who shows up to get work done no matter the obstacles in the way.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL or any other pro leagues?
I am honored for this opportunity. I welcome challenges, and except them with everything I have. If given the opportunity, I would be someone they could count on no matter what.
