Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
First things first, the goals I set for myself amongst my teammates involved me wanting to accomplish various things, but the main goal that continuously stayed on my mind was to help my team win by all means necessary. As far as my personal goals and accomplishments I set the bar high for myself to be nominated 1st team all conference again or even all American this year, by producing better statistics than my junior year when I reached a total of 13 sacks that season. Overall, the biggest goal for me was to grow my football mindset into a more professional and knowledgeable leader that’s able to adapt and address every obstacle that comes my way accordingly. I truly believe that I have fulfilled that because my presence speaks for itself, when I’m amongst other players and coaches.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
My teammates and coaches would say that I’m an extremely fiery player that plays with passion and grit. They would also say that I’m a leader who is easy to talk to whether it’s on or off the field.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
When studying film I mainly focus on my weaknesses and bad tendencies while attempting to evolve & better prepare myself for those in game situations. I also take the time out to scout opponents, in order to check out for bad habits or pre snap movements from O’Lineman that may give me a hint or clue as to what play is coming up. Including specific types of block schemes I could receive the most depending on the team.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
The thing that separates me from other prospects is that on the field, I am a dynamic player with the ability to seamlessly transition between pass rushing and coverage responsibilities. Whether it’s pressuring the quarterback or blanketing tight ends and receivers, I bring a multifaceted skill set that can make an impact on both defense and special teams. My speed, agility, and football IQ allow me to effectively read plays, anticipate movements, and disrupt opposing offenses. I also come from an Army ranger veteran family that has instilled mental toughness in me since the day I was born. Every challenging situation in life that I have endured. Hasn’t stopped me from proving doubters wrong! Any situation that seems too tough or challenging has pushed me into another gear to find a way, whether the odds were with me or against me.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
Currently, my offseason plans are to live near the school campus and train with my strength and conditioning coach Mitchell Osadchuk as well as Defensive coordinator E.J. Shaah throughout the weeks. As well as taking trips to sterling heights, MI in order to get professional training with Nate Collins & teammate Antonio Simley.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
As for strengths and abilities that I would bring to a team. I would be an extremely positive and highly motivated guy that would just love being able to do what I love for a living. As well as a humble & respectable person who knows how blessed he is with an opportunity of a lifetime. To include a good locker room guy who can flip that switch from having fun to locking in when it’s crunch time. Overall they would be getting an athletic, no excuses given, well rounded outside linebacker who is relentless in the trenches with the big boys and always looking to make an impact whether it’s special teams or specific defensive packages.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
Beyond my on field abilities, my upbringing in a metal-tough army family has equipped me with a mental toughness and discipline that are unparalleled. I am no stranger to hard work, sacrifice, and overcoming adversity, qualities that are essential for thriving in the demanding environment of professional sports. I am fully committed to honing my craft, embracing coaching, and contributing to the success of any team that believes in my potential. I am eager to prove myself at the highest level and am ready to bring a relentless work ethic and a team-first attitude to any organization that gives me the opportunity. Lastly, I am more than just a prospect; I am a dedicated player with the heart of a warrior and the drive to succeed. I am ready to make an impact both on and off the field, and I am confident that my background and skill set make me a valuable addition to any professional football team.
