What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

My goals in my final season was to become a leader for my team along with pushing my abilities on the field on a weekly basis. I was able to accomplish these goals as I was named a Team Captain along with receiving Team Offensive Player of the Year along with a KCAC Honorable Mention.

Q: How do you think you took advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase your chances of going pro?

I took advantage of the extra year of eligibility when looking at the aspect of opportunity. I was blessed with another year of football, so I knew the only right thing to do with that was give it my all every day of the week to ensure I left nothing behind once my year was over.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

My coaches would say I am very dedicated, hard working and committed to anything involving football. My teammates would say I’m very detail oriented and meticulous when it comes to my craft as a receiver. They would also say that I can be player and coach on the field as well.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

When studying film, I like to study the overall secondary, but I will spend time more-so on tendencies of the player I will be going against majority of the time. I also tend to watch the front 7 as I found that keying on their alignments would benefit when knowing if there is a blitz or not, which ultimately helps pre snap reads and knowing how to adjust post snap.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

What separates me from other pro prospects at my position is my mental capabilities. A lot of pro prospects have the physical attributes to compete, but I feel that my mental preparation along hand with my on the field playing abilities are superior than most.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

I plan to train in Southern California and work with my personal trainer to stay ready for any opportunity that comes my way. I plan on adding a little more weight and fine tune my fundamentals as a wide receiver.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

On the field, I bring a sense of leadership and dedication to a team. I don’t let others fall behind and hold those accountable for any action. I will bring speed and precise route running on the field with having a deep play ability only one play away. Off the field, I bring a very close family aspect to the team. I truthfully believe that if a team is very close and are genuine friends with one another, they will work a little harder for the person next to you, especially when you know each other’s commitment and dedication.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

My final pitch to any NFL and Pro League teams is I am a player who is ready to be a sponge. I am ready to consume information and apply it on the field. I am a coachable player who is willing to adjust for the team to be successful. My early years are still ahead of me and I feel that I am just breaching the surface in my football career. Any chance or opportunity given my way will not be wasted. You will get a very humble, hard working and committed player to your team.
