What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
My goal for this year was to return from my Achilles surgery from the spring season and play this fall. I accomplished that and earned all MVFC recognition as well.
Q: How do you think you took advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase your chances of going pro?
I proved I could come back from a serious injury and still be the same player I always was.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
My peers would say I am well respected player, and lead by example. They would say I never let anyone put limitations on my game and I am a humble player. I would rather prove it with my play, rather than run my mouth.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
When I study film, studying the tendencies of the quarterback is most important deal. If I know who the quarterback is looking for, and targets most, it tips me off to be instinctive and make plays.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
It’s hard to separate at this level athletically, but for me, it’s about my intelligence. I understand defenses and what offenses are trying to accomplish and use it to my advantage. I don’t get the same thing wrong twice and if I mess up in practice, I’ll remember it for the game.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
I signed with my agency WMA sports and have plans to train in Wisconsin and Nashville.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I will bring an athlete that will adapt to any situation given. I fit in most systems and will make plays when my number is called.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
You will be getting a player who will lead by example, and be humble in the process. I love the game, and love putting in the work. All I need is an opportunity, and the rest will take care of itself!
