Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

I had several goals that I wanted to accomplish in my final season but one specific goal that I accomplished was becoming team captain. After 4 and a half years of football at UNI, I had put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into the program and wanted to help lead our team to a national championship. Our season ended in the quarter finals of the playoffs but I was blessed with the opportunity to help be a leader for our team and represent what UNI football meant to me.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

I believe my coaches and teammates would say I am smart, reliable, athletic and one of the hardest workers they have ever been associated with. I take pride in competing with my teammates and outworking my opponents and I think people recognize that when they see how much time and effort I put into trying to reach my dreams and goals.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

When I study film, I make sure first and foremost that I can recognize and know what great technique looks like, so when I watch myself, I can critique what I need to fix or replicate. When studying against my opponents, I make sure to recognize tendencies and specific techniques that they use as well as things such as top coverages and top pressures. Personally, I believe it is very important to critique my technique first before analyzing an opponent because if I know what I’m doing and can do it fast and efficient, there’s no way it can be stopped.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

I believe the biggest thing that will separate me from other receivers is my intelligence and tenacity. I firmly believe that I am one of the smartest players when I step on the football field because I take so much accountability in knowing my assignment and recognizing what my opponents do. I also believe that it is hard to find a receiver who has the will, effort and physicality to block like I do.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

I decided to stay in Cedar Falls and I am currently training at UNI until our Pro Day on March 24th.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

My biggest strengths and abilities on the field are speed, route running, blocking and intelligence. I am also a great leader, communicator and responsible person looking to help better myself and the people around me.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL or any other pro leagues?

I just need one opportunity and one chance to prove that I can compete and play at any level, be a leader, and be the hardest worker on and off the field.
