What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
The goals that I set for my self were 1 Interception , 1 pass break up and 1 Forced Fumble per game and also practice. I fell short of this goal in games but it ultimately helped me be around the ball and be in position to make plays more.
Q: How do you think you took advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase your chances of going pro?
I took advantage of the extra year to focus on enhancing my IQ of the game and also developing more skills as a DB to give my self the best shot at the NFL.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
I believe my coaches and teammates would say I am a selfless player and teammate. I am like a sponge / mini coach always willing to learn and help others.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
When I am studying film I first watch myself to critique any wasted movements and technique errors . As far as game planning I focus on tendencies of the offense and WRs to help me grasp how they will attack us and how we will stop them.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
What separates me from other pro prospects is the experience that I have playing multiple positions in 3 different defenses against high level talent.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
My off-season plan to prepare for professional opportunities has been 3-A-Days so far . First I have Speed/Conditioning , Second Position work / Film study and then at Night we lift weights.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
My biggest strength that I will bring to a team is my knowledge of the game and then being able to play Man to Man coverage to Match up with their top guys.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
My final pitch would be that Ja’Marcus Ingram is able to play anywhere on the field at any given moment . I have a back ground at Wr. I’ve played Defensive back in 3 major conferences at the highest level of collegiate football as well as made plays on special teams. So I am able to affect the game in all phases with my knowledge, experience and athletic ability.
