Q: What were some of your goals heading into your final collegiate season?
Goals heading into the season was to win the conference and play to the best I could every week to have the feeling I left everything on the field.
Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?
Accurate, intelligent, reliable.
Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?
Right now I’m training on leaning up and getting quicker with my footwork and speed.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?
When I study film, I like to break down the defense in parts. First, I look at the secondary for tendencies, base coverages, and overall play style. Then, I look for the Linebackers blitzing in different ways. Then, the Defensive Line to look for slants or loops.
Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?
What separates me from other players at my position is that I can read a defense real well and can deliver a safe accurate ball to a spot that I want it to go.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
A huge strength that I have that I can bring to a team is leadership on and off the field. I was raised in a church family with great values and I know what the right thing is and when to do it. I also bring the hardest work ethic that coaches will ever see.
Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?
My final pitch to coaches and scouts is just to give me a shot. Ever since I was a kid and I’m sure everyone has, I’ve been dreaming to play in the NFL and because of my size, I’ve had limited opportunities because people just automatically write me off without seeing what I can do. So my pitch is just to give me a chance and prove to them that I can play at this level.
