What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
My goal for this season as a team was to win a conference championship and national championship. Personally I also wanted be a 3x first team all conference player and improve my technique and steps.
Q: How do you think you took advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase your chances of going pro?
I got a lot of good film by coming back. We played Kennesaw State and went against a lot of really good guys throughout the season. I also challenged myself in the weight room and on the practice field to perform my best. I really worked on my steps and being consistent.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
I think they would say that in the weight room and practice field I never take a day off I always work to out prepare my competition whether it’s in the weight room or on the field. I am an intense guy on game day I come ready to fight to win every rep.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
I focus on my hands and feet. I am my worst critic and I always look to find things I can improve on to perfect my craft and make notes of what I did improve on from the last time.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
I work to overcome all odds. I don’t talk about training I wake up every morning and hit the weight room and do it. I go to the field and do speed work, foot work, plyometrics or conditioning. I will never be out worked.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
I have put a lot of focus on performing for combines. I work on my speed and agility every other day And I also hit the weight room to get stronger and more explosive 5 days a week.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I am a lead by example guy. I don’t take reps off and I work to improve my game and help my teammates improve their game. Throughout the season I would get me some of the offensive line and our quarterback and we would watch film in our apartment together to be sure we are on the same page and will get better together.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
I will never stay the same and will always work to improve. Taking a chance on me would not be a mistake. I am very mentally tough and will never be out worked and would be a very good asset both mentally and physically to add to your team!
