Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

One of my goals for this past season was to become the leader I’ve always dreamed of being and direct the younger guys to the right path for them to have a great amount of success for years to come. I also set out to be voted as the most valuable defensive linemen by my teammates (votes still have not been announced).

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

My coaches and teammates would view me as an energetic and humble leader with a relentless mindset. A reliable player with an endless motor.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

When I study film I am very critical of myself when it comes to the details. I study my pad level, get-off, footwork, hand placement, and block escape (if I’m getting off the block violently and fast enough). I’m not only critical of myself but everyone else in the defensive line room, plus I’m constantly learning from my teammates too. I also study the slight tendencies I see within my opponent when it comes to their stance and pass sets.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

I believe I’m separated by my technique and ability to pick-up on and apply key coaching points very quickly. I also believe my speed, quickness and explosiveness at my size separates me.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

My offseason plan is working with my personal trainer and Owner of Watts & Diesel, Jonny Bridgewater, out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I plan on adding a little bit more weight and working on my technique as a true defensive end.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I’ll always be a positive minded person and a player that will buy-in in order to achieve the team’s goals. I’ve always had a team first and “whatever it takes” mindset. I’ll also bring leadership by example.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

I am a person and player who simply loves the game. I have the discipline, experience, and knowledge to be an asset to any organization I am a part of, on and off of the field. I believe I still have a huge ceiling for growth and cannot wait to maximize my potential at the next level.
