Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
My goals set for my final season were to win conference with my team and be better than I was last season and show out. With the help of my team and coaches I achieved 1st Team All Conference and a great season.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
They’d speak on my toughness and my preparation always knowing what to do and when to do it, as well as a great teammate with great work ethic who works hard to help his team achieve success and that win.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
To improve my game I study the opponents fronts, coverages, and the players I’ll be going against such as what they are good at and the tendencies they have so I can prepare and practice techniques for what’s upcoming. As well as watching myself against opponents and seeing what I did against this coverage and front assessing what my job was and noting any mistakes, what I could have done, and then I take these mistakes to practice and correct them.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
I believe what separates me is the knowledge and IQ of the game but also as my coach classifying me as a Hybrid being able to do what is needed in the ground in the backfield/wing or routing up the defender flexed out.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
My offseason plan is to work on my craft as a TE/FB working on routes and releases with one of my coaches who helps me learn the techniques and creativity to use against defenders for all routes and situations. As well as working on explosiveness, speed to be faster, and techniques for blocking steps and hand placement.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I will bring my work ethic and dedication to the team being coachable as I will do what is asked and needed. I’ll bring my skills and knowledge that I have learned as being versatile and playing where you want and need me at whether that be special teams or wherever.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
I want any league to give me the opportunity to show them what I’m made of and what I can do as I will prove that I have what it takes and believe you’ll think the same. I will grind and work showing you that I improve each time. I played D3 ball but that doesn’t mean I can’t compete at a high level.
