What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

The goals I set out for this season was to win the conference championship and win the FCS national championship. I did get one of the two goals accomplished as we made school history at UTM we won the OVC championship that hasn’t been done since 2006 and we also was the first team in program history to win a playoff game and be ranked in the top 10 we were ranked #8. We sadly lost in the second round to Montana State which is a good team and a program that is currently playing in the Finals.

Q: How do you think you took advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase your chances of going pro?

I think I took great advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase my chances of going pro. We played in the spring season when the Covid outbreak hit and I had just transferred to UTM, sad to say due to Covid it helped me because I needed that extra year to display my talent and I ended that season being a 1st Team All- Conference player. But I hate what Covid did to the world in general a lot of lives where taken.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

I believe my coaches and teammates will say I’m a guy that’s hard working and positive through any situation and a great leader to my teammates. A very selfless guy that wants to see the best out of each of his teammates because he knows what each one of them are capable of doing.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

The things I focus on when i’m watching film to improve my game is to see what exactly did I do wrong the previous game or what I could’ve done better to avoid whatever play it may be so it want happen the next game. For example I could’ve false stepped in press man or I didn’t snap my eyes fast enough causing me to just get a pass break up instead of possibly getting an interception. So it’s things like that I try to fix and critic myself on to get better at the next game.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

I believe what sets me apart is i’m very versatile I can play CB, Nickel, Safety it really doesn’t matter i’m going to get the job done because i’m determined. Im a very long CB and I may not be the tallest standing at 5’10 but I’m very athletic I can jump higher than most and I have the speed to match it. I also have good hips and feet which are all key things you want as a DB and I have good instincts on the field. The main thing I would say that sets me apart from others is I have heart and that dog mentality to prove whoever my opponent is in front of me wrong every chance I get. Im one of kind you may compare me to other players but we are not the same at all I’m different i’m one of one.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

I’ll be training back in my hometown in Birmingham AL, getting ready for pro day with Justin Woodall and Kevin Brown. These are guy’s that have dealt with all types of pro athletes and that has helped them get to where I’m trying to get at, which is the NFL.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

On the field I will bring that leader mentality but also being coachable at the same time. Try my best to show the other guys how this should be done or what I may have seen them do wrong so they could do it better next time. Off the field i’ll make sure I represent my team and organization the right way by not getting in trouble always doing the right thing and trying to help others that are less fortunate and give back to the community.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

I hope they take a chance on a small school guy that has the ability to make some big time plays. That has covered cover WRs in the FBS level down to the FCS level it doesn’t matter. Playing in the NFL has always been a dream of mine and if I get the opportunity I will make sure they don’t regret giving me that shot at my dreams of playing in the NFL. I want to be great and I know I can be I just need the opportunity to showcase it.
