Jack Mangel: 2024 Pro Prospect Interview

Name: Jack Mangel
School: Concord University
Position: Quarterback
Height: 6-2
Weight: 220

Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

I finished what I started here at Concord University. I became the all time leading passer in every statistical category. I will be graduating in December with a degree in Special Education.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

That I am a hard nosed player that will give it everything I got. I will play through everything. I have been a team captain in every year I have played here. I have never missed a snap in 33 games.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

I focus on my eyes, to make sure I am reading the right things. I also focus on my foot work. Lastly, I look to see if I missed anything pre-snap.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

I am a player who has played with a broken ankle, separated shoulder, and other injuries. Heck, I have been hit so hard my nose is bleeding while I am still out there battling. I am a player who cares about nothing else but winning. I want to win at all cost, that is the only statistic that matters in my eyes.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

I plan on using my high school facilities to workout with weights and train on the field. I will be working with a QB trainer that I have been with since I was 16.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I will bring leadership. I have played QB and always been the captain. I will bring a gutsy QB that is not afraid to make any throws. I can make throws with the best of them. With me, you will be getting a guy ready to compete from day 1. Off the field, football is my #1 priority, I live and breathe football. I plan on becoming lifelong friends with my teammates and coaches.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

Take a chance on me, you will not regret it.
