Isaiah Reigel: 2023 Pro Prospect Interview

Name: Isaiah Reigel
School: East Stroudsburg University
Position: DL
Height: 6-3
Weight: 255

Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

Lead my team, take it one week at a time. Play a full season as healthy as possible. It was big for me to comeback and lead my team after breaking my tib/fib last year.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

I’m a high motor player who is about the team. You need guy to lean on off the field thats him. You need a scout guy, special teams player, move him out of his original position because it’s for the betterment of the team and he’s the guy for it.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

Overall look for offensive tendencies, top personal groupings, formations and then plays out of those. Look at the offensive line second to see player breakdowns if anyone gives tell tales on certain plays. Then player breakdowns on the O-line to see what weakness are where to gain an edge.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

My football IQ understanding are we work as a unit as well as breaking down what other teams will be running. Being a defensive lineman, but knowing where everyone else should be during the plays as well. I’ve been everywhere from an edge player to being an interior d-lineman.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

I put full trust in my strength coach to keep training with him for speed and strength. Drill work with my former teammates and other guys to keep sharpening my game. Wouldn’t be in the position I’m in without them.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I can truly say I’m a teammate player, more than willing to do it all. I’ve always been able to be there for my guys on and off the field and that will never change. High motor and high energy and my passion to constantly get a better knowledge of the game.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

The skill/field work will show, same with the weight room. Put me in a film room and put me on a board. Put me on special teams. I excel in everything other people look over when it comes to being a football player.
