Isaiah Abraham: 2024 Pro Prospect Interview

Name: Isaiah Abraham
School: Western Oregon
Position: SS/OLB Hybrid
Height: 6-1
Weight: 195

Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

Two major goals I had for this season were to lead the conference in at least one stat category and earn first team all conference. I ended up achieving both of those goals by leading the conference in forced fumbles, and earning first team all LSC honors at OLB.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

I believe they would say I’m a fast, hard nose player who always leaves it all on the field.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

Focusing on little things that give tells, for example an offensive players weight or stance alone can give away a lot. Paying attention to and learning those tendencies really helped me and gave me an upper edge this season. From there I start looking at what they like to do. Some teams will run a lot of formations, but are still trying to accomplish the same thing and attack the same areas. If you can start seeing through the QB’s/OC’s point of view you can start to see tendencies on areas they like to attack and what like really are trying to do. After I have this information I can watch the game as if I am playing and can visualize what I’d do on every play. Learning these skills from my coach in the spring and utilizing them this past season really helped my level of play rise.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

I came into college as a safety and since have played corner, nickel, strong safety, and for the last few seasons outside backer. I believe the versatility I have to play multiple positions helps separate me.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

I will most likely train in the Portland area.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I believe I’m a good hardworking person that wouldn’t ever bring any negativity to a team or environment. I’m there to work, build relationships, and play football.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

My versatility of playing and understanding multiple positions can make me a real asset for an organization. An opportunity is all I need!
