Q: What were some of your goals heading into your final collegiate season?
My three main goals heading into my Senior year were to continue to be a leader on and off the field, be a coach on the field, and to play every play like it’s my last.
Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?
Explosive, instinctive, and fast.
Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?
I have been and will continue to train in Davie, FL at Bommaritos Performance Systems.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?
First, I start by finding game film against teams with a similar front as my defense so that I know how that particular team will try to attack us. Then, I focus on frequency of formations so that I understand what our defensive game plan will be against those formations. I also watch for tendencies in the Guards to see if they show when they are going to pull or pass set. Lastly, I study Quarterback cadences to know at what point in the snap count I should start my blitz.
Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?
What separates me from other Linebackers in this draft is my will to win every rep and my relentless pursuit to the football.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
On the field, I am very explosive and have a high motor. Off the field, I am a mentor, a man that takes care of his responsibilities, and I stray away from negativity/trouble.
Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?
Every coach preaches about wanting athletes and a guy that does things right, I’m that guy. Taking a chance on me is low risk, I will produce.
