Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

The goals I set this season were to be a more vocal leader, to make First Team All American & First Team All Conference. Unfortunately, I couldn’t accomplish either due to injury. While injured, I was able to show servant leadership on the sidelines happy and able to lead my defense. My primary goal was to perform at a level greater than my previous 4 years by improving my techniques and knowledge, while also eliminating any and all weaknesses. Also, I was determined to provide the example which would motivate my teammates to not only perform well individually, but also as a team.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

My coaches and teammates would say that I am very consistent, humble , have a solid work ethic, and give 110%. I am also known for bringing out a competitive edge in my teammates, one which not only improves us individually but also improves team chemistry.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

When I am looking back at film, I study it and think of the acronym “F.A.R”. It stands for Formation,Assignment, and Routes. Formation helps spot what the opposition can do as well as their favorite tendencies. Assignment is to know what coverage I must be in and how I can use what i know is coming to my advantage. Finally the Routes so I know what the WR’s are running and how I can execute efficiently. By knowing my opponent’s techniques and schemes, I hope to put them in an uncomfortable position where they can’t be successful with their normal approach. Never let them beat you with their strengths!

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

What separates me from the other prospects is my speed, willingness to take risks, being able to tackle because I’m sharp on it from doing wrestling in high school, and my confidence. Confidence helps with how you play. This helps with techniques I use against better competition. Taking risks goes hand in hand because that’s what this position is about and what football is too because the game is goes down totaling risks to put yourself in the best position possible. When that ball is in the air,I’m willing to put my body on the line to get to the ball wherever it is. have complete confidence in myself. There will never be a time where I don’t believe I am better than the man across from me. Regardless of the previous play, I will line up the next play knowing that I am the better player!

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

Every Off season, tho goals is to transform my body. However, I’m taking this off season to take care of my knee as I injured it in the middle of the season. I plan to get it back to 100% that is why I decided to decline all senior bowls, Train for my pro day and get back to a healthy me. I will be training with ENG training, Wizard Workouts, and a couple other places to help me develop my ability. I plan on getting a agent soon as well. As I continue to improve my technique and knowledge, I will continue to watch my film in order to identify and eliminate any and all weaknesses.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

The kind of pro’s/strengths I bring to a team are that I am a selfless player. I believe whatever my role is on the team, I will come in day one and show you I mean business about what my plan is. I am also adaptable. I am able to pick up things quickly as well as coverages, assignments, etc. Lastly, I always like to come to practice happy so my energy will radiate around my teammates and will they see I am locked in and I have energy. I wish to be positive to all those around me. One of my most important strengths is that I make the players around me better through my energy, attitude, selflessness, communication, and love for the game.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?

My final pitch to pro teams is that not only are you getting a hard working individual, you will get someone who loves the game of football. I am eager to learn more tips about my position and how I can get better each and every day. I stress the little things, I will put a big competitive culture amongst the group I get put with. We will execute and dominate together at the end of the day, I promise! One thing you must know about me is that I have been asked to compete at the highest level as a first year player in high school and college, I have shown that I can quickly rise to the level of my competition through effort, improved knowledge, and an unwavering confidence in my abilities. I am the ultimate team player who brings no negative qualities from day one.
